What you enter
Calculations run entirely in your browser. The amounts you type are not sent to us or stored on our servers.
So you can bookmark or share a result, the calculators save your inputs in the page address after a # sign, for example /rrsp-tax-refund-calculator/#province=ON&income=90000. Browsers never send the part of an address after # to a website, so these amounts stay on your device. Anyone you share the link with will see the amounts in it, so only share result links you’re comfortable sharing.
Older links that put amounts after a ? sign still work. That part of an address is sent with the page request, so it can appear in our host’s request logs. The calculator switches the address to the # form as soon as the page opens.
What our host records
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information, such as your IP address, browser type and the address of the page requested, to deliver and protect the site. We have not turned on any additional logging. Cloudflare describes its own handling in its privacy policy.
Cookies and analytics
The site does not set cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this page before doing so.
Fonts
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
